Project Title:

Manpower Agency Automation Web Application

Industry Classification:

Job Recruitment & Placement

Project Highlights:

This manpower agency needed a web application to help them with the processing of the job applications of massive number of job-seekers they were having.

There was a routine SOP for every new job application that needed to be followed through for all job seekers with some variations depending on some variables that needed to be automatically considered.

The SOP had 13 steps in total such as: Initial Job Interview, Data entry to system, Medical Tests, Orientaion, Passport & Visa issuance, etc. Tracking the status of each applicant and avoiding critical deadlines was the pain point of this company.

I helped them by building exactly what they needed. A visual representation (vertical pointed timeline) was made to show the current step of the application for any given job-seeker in the system, again with many more details and features. Ohh, before I forget... and with a nice warning screen right inside the dashboard page of admin panel giving heads up as to who is approaching what deadline in how many days! Awesome stuff! :)

Project Title:

Le Masseuse Website Design

Industry Classification:

Beauty & Massage Equipment

Project Highlights:

In this project, we needed to design a website that would have a subtle feminine theme, plus to convey feelings of luxury, and comfort resulting from using the client's ergonomic massage beds.

To address the subtle feminine style, we used the background color of pink for the homepage top slider mixed with a nice violate flower plus the light orange color tone as the background color. We used golden photo frames in gallery page to convey luxury without undermining the dominant femininity of the site. To communicate the feelings of comfort and tranquility, we emphasized on “Comfortable”, “Enjoyable”, and “Portable” as the main keywords for the design elements especially in the home page. Finally, we came up with a curved-shaped main navigation menu to further echo the ergonomic style of the products.

A 360 degree rotatable photo plugin was implemented to show-case the client’s self-taken photos of their massage bed. All of the above, at full responsive and mobile-friendly design. This project was worth more than 1 year of design course in college. Thank you Kingcor for your trust and the free lunch! :)

P.S.: It's been a while that this website is ranked within 1st page of Google for the keyword "Massage Beds Philippines", thanks to our Free On-site SEO that we do for all websites we develop.

Project Title:

AIF School Portal Web Application

Industry Classification:

Academic & Educational

Project Highlights:

With 163 coded files and 20 database tables, AIF School Web Portal, marks itself as the biggest project delivered by Surpass. The client needed a program to help managing their academic procedures. In short, these are what we did:

Inclusion of 3 major panels, namely the students' access panel, the professors' access panel, and the office staff (registrar, dean, assistant registrar, etc.) panel.

In order to ensure the optimum performance of the database system, we injected thousands of dummy data/rows into the tables and performed some query tasks. Things went on flawlessly which was also thanks to our robust Linux server. In order to securely handle the authentication of all 3 types of users (i.e. students, profs., office staff), we used PDO framework of PHP under Object Oriented Programming.

We designed three custom CSS (Cascade Style Sheet) files to make the three above-named panels visually distinctive. Surely, we also considered responsive design to allow all users to be able to connect to the website using their own mobile and tablet devices.

Perhaps the coolest part of this project, can be the fact that we were able to finish the whole thing way ahead of the scheduled deadline, thanks to intensive concept design and early database planning, and of course, thanks to the client for providing the necessary information. P.S. this credit also goes to coffee & tea! :)
